Absolutely wonderful place!!! Fabulous food, seafood fresh and delicious,?and great and friendly service!!! The Cajun way baby. We sat outside with our pup in a stunning sunshiney, cool winter day. Doesn’t get any better than this!
Great food. Nice atmosphere friendly staff. My one complaint is that they didn’t have any alligator when we went there.
5:30 pm start for boiled seafood on Fridays and Saturdays Fried Green Beans were DELICIOUS!!! Very seasoned and a bit spicy
Excellent good with an accommodating staff and a simple down home atmosphere. One of the only places to get both good fried crawfish AND a good solid steak. A Mother's Day tradition for the locals. I had a 20 oz NY Strip steak medium rare. Comes with a refreshing salad, a side (the stuffed potato is packed with flavor) and a nice roll.
I had a seafood platter. It was very good. The stuffed potato is very good. The service was great.
Fantastic gumbo - some of the best in LA!! Good po-boys. Quick service. Not too crowded. Lots of menu options. Would recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area.
Was quiet and only a few people there. Waitress was on me fast with a menu and asking about my drink choice. Asked for, and got, a RARE 20oz NY Strip, stuffed potato, a salad, and a Miller....was asked if I wanted a mug or a copy, and I thought that was cool...got the cozy, salad came with good greens and not just iceberg, and within ten minutes I had my perfectly cooked steak with grilled onions and the stuffed potato. Wasn't a fan of the roll....i feel like it was deep fried or something similar, and the grease flavor wasn't pleasant. Almost finished it all as it was a lot. For what I got, price was quite fair.
This place came highly recommended by a friend, Joey Blanchard. It’s a quaint family owned and operated restaurant that serves local comfort food quickly and with friendly and attentive service! There were so many food options available and the lunchtime clientele was comprised of local residents. Everyone knew everyone else there and it was packed! The food was fantastic, served quickly, unpretentious, and made with love! Everything we ordered was amazing! I ordered the lunch special of a 1/2 shrimp po’boy sandwich and the chicken and sausage gumbo. We also I had the gator bite appetizer, which was incredible! This little gem is one of the many best kept local secrets in the area! You just have to visit here! You won’t be disappointed! Update (04/17/25): I paid a visit with my friend, Joey, again and as usual, everything was delicious and as was expected. For today, I had the Duck and Andouille sausage gumbo and red beans and rice with smoked sausage! These folks are consistent and put a lot of effort into their food and service! Our server was a nice young lady who was very friendly , efficient , and attentive!
